Plexus is a plug-in designed to bring generative art closer to a non-linear program like After Effects. It lets you create, manipulate and visualize data in a procedural manner. Not only you can render the particles, but also create all sorts of interesting relationships between them based on various parameters using lines and triangles. The workflow for Plexus is very modular allowing you to create truly infinite set of configurations and parameter
What’s New in Plexus 3?
Object based UI Plexus 3 comes with a tree based Object Panel, that helps you organize multiple Plexus objects with in the layer. It improves workflow dramatically and the panel itself is dockable anywhere with in After Effects. It helps you keep track of your Geometry Objects, Effector Objects, Render Objects and Groups by allowing you to select only what you need so no more scrolling through a long Effects Control Window. Motion Blur Finally. Now along with Depth of Field, you can add Motion Blur to create cinematic animations. You can use either comp settings or custom camera shutter values. Sound Effector A new Sound Effector Object let’s you sample a waveform from a sound layer in AE and apply it to vertex position or scale or color. You can also Echo the sampled waveform so that the sound is sampled over time. Slicer Object The Slicer Object let’s you ‘slice’ through a mesh and create interesting visualizations. It works best with OBJ meshes and can be used very well along with the instance object. Seamless Beams Render sweeping volumetric beams with seamless rendering. Beams no longer show any ‘overlapping joints’. Not only it improves rendering performance, but also renders much more accurate colors. Designed for AE’s New Architecture Plexus 3 was designed from the ground up to take advantage of AE’s new multi-threaded architecture introduced in 13.5. That means better support for Persistent Caching, better performance and the best part, automagically refresh Instances. You can have many nested instances and all the changes are automatically detected. Also, just in case you need to refresh cache, a new button that let’s you do that with a single click without affecting caches of other layers. Depth Map Culling You can use a Depth Map exported by a 3D program or Buena Depth Cue to occlude pixels directly. It helps composite Plexus in 3D scenes with ease. Improved OBJ Import You can now import OBJ files and file sequences using AE’s default file importer, which helps you organize footage better and collect project files. OBJ Object now also imports normals and texture co-ordinates along with vertex positions and facets. Nested Compositions Collapse Transforms for a nested composition, and Plexus behaves like a native AE composition. It reacts to Camera and lights of the native composition. It allows you to pre-comp Plexus layers and still have the flexibility to animate Camera movements. Null Object Performance Null Objects have similar performance to point lights if you’re running the latest version of After Effects. No need to convert Nulls exported from 3D applications to point lights anymore. Path Object Improvements Path Object is improved with scaling controls for replication and tessellation for closed paths. Now there is yet another way to create 3D text in After Effects, but make it a little more interesting. Custom Visibility Settings You can gradually fade or vanish points, lines or polys when they get close to the camera or far away from the camera. You can also custom hide polygons that face towards or away from the camera. Unified Rendering Unified rendering allows all objects to have a common 3D space. It allows points, lines & polys created by multiple objects to intersect with one another in z-space. Loop Noise You can seamlessly loop noise values for animations. You can cycle through noise evolution and it works for position, scale & color values.

Draw 15 different types of object Curve — a simple XY plot of data. Region — a box defined by X&Y min and max parameters. Fill — draws the area under and/or above an XY plot, to a Y-value. Label — draws labels at points defined by X/Y data. Can be either based on values or imported text data. Marker — draw shapes at points defined by X/Y data. Sprite — use a layer as a source for a marker. V-sprite — use an animated or video layer as a source for a marker, but vary the frame used based on X/Y values. Area2 — draws a gradient between two X/Y data series. Area3 – draws a 3-point gradient between three X/Y data series. Line column — draws vertical lines to points defined by an X/Y series. Error line — draws vertical ‘error’ lines between two X/Y series (i.e. min & max error). Guide1D — draws either a horizontal or vertical line at a certain value on the chart, with label. Guide 2D — draws a point on a chart, with an arrow and label. Measure — draws lines and arrows at an offset, between two points on a chart, with label Bar — creates the bars of a bar chart, based on a series of Y values. Features Primary and secondary vertical axes. (No grid available on the secondary axis.) Chart and axis titles. Text-based labels or numbers-based horizontal axis. Scalable axes alow the dynamic creation of grid lines and axis labels. Optional digit grouping and decimal point characters.
Making a simple x/y line chart is very simple: Create a Solid. Click effects > Beepee > Dynamic Line Chart to apply the plugin. Go to the Dynamic Line Chart effect in the Effect control window and expand the Data topic. Click CSV…Load, and find your data. Expand the Objects topic and click ‘add object’. Find your data series in the Horizontal and Vertical data drop-down menus. Adjust the horizontal dimensions of the chart in Grid & Axes > X-axis > X-axis dimensions, then do the same for the vertical axis.
Aescripts Composite Brush v1.5.2 Free Download – After Effects Scripts
Composite Brush is an accurate and easy to use color selector and modifier for After Effects. Create a selection with just a few strokes, and modify colors or pull a key with the effect.
Click and drag: Assign selected colors. (Also called positive selections).
Alt+click and drag: Assign un-selected colors (negative selections.)
Transfer Mode Color: This color will be used with the transfer mode, if it is a transfer mode which modifies colors.Precision: Sometimes you may choose selected (positive) and unselected (negative) colors that are very similar to each other. A high precision value (max 100) will allow the key to be as precise as possible, allowing two very similar colors to have different designations. A low precision value will automatically delete a selected color if you alt-click nearby, or delete an unselected color if you click nearby. This number is a percentage, if your matte becomes difficult to modify, or too sharp, it may help to turn the precision down and do some more clicking and dragging.

Aescripts Block Swap v1.0 for After Effects Free Download – After Effects Script
How it works Blocks of the source image are simply swapped between each other. Their size, spread, count and other parameters can be controlled and animated.
Available parameters rundown
Channels allow you to specify which color channels should the effect be applied to: RGBA – the effect is applied to all channels equally red, green, blue and alpha – the effect is applied only to the selected channel Block Width specifies the width of the blocks that should be swapped – the values go from 1 (this produces noise-like effect) up to 1024 (large tiles) Block Height specifies the height of the blocks Shuffle Strength – the percentage of blocks that should be swapped. 0 – all the blocks remain in their original place; 1 – all the blocks are swapped. Shuffle Spread – how far apart should the swapping occur. 0 – swaps only the neighbouring blocks; 1 – swaps blocks that are the furthest apart. Shuffle Spread Direction determines the axis where swapping occurs: Horizontal – blocks are moved only in their rows Vertical – blocks are moved only in their columns Both – blocks are swapped anywhere in the image Random Seed sets the order that’s used for swapping. Animate this to move blocks around randomly.

What is it? FXAA or Fast approximate anti-aliasing is an anti-aliasing algorithm created by Timothy Lottes at NVIDIA. The main advantage of this technique over conventional spatial anti-aliasing is that it does not require large amounts of computing power (from wikipedia). In layman’s terms, FXAA is applied to your final rendered image and works based on pixel data, not geometry. GPU’s are particularly fast at executing these shader algorithms in parallel, thus it’s very quick to render.
Why would I want it? If you’ve ever had a case of crunchy edges (aka jaggies, stairstepping, aliasing) in After Effects, FXAA will kill those for you. These issues are particularly common when doing motion-trails or motion smears using the Echo effect or Cartoon Moblur.
